Pictures of basement, foundation, crawlspace & structure defects
In this picture, a section of wall has moved out of plumb. Repairs will
be recommended.
In this picture, we see a large enough crack to be structurally significant.
Repairs will be recommended.
In this picture, we see evidence of a leak. Repairs will be recommended.
In this picture, we can see a brick has moved away from the structure, probably due to
moisture-induced settling. Repairs will be recommended.
In this picture, the crawlspace has been contaminated by moisture. It is
likely that a significant amount has actually stood and left a high water
mark. The foundation and its components need to be evaluated by a mold
specialist; foundation walls, posts and piers and intermediate floor framing
need to be evaluated by a foundation contractor; and the site itself should be
be evaluated by a licensed geo-technical specialist or evaluated for service
by a grading and drainage contractor.
Here we can see differential settling is confirmed by the sloping floor.
Repairs will be recommended.
In this picture, the columns are indicative of unprofessional and structurally
suspect installation. They cannot be endorsed and should be evaluated by
a licensed geo-technical specialist.
In this picture, the columns have settled and left the support girder
unsupported. Repairs will be recommended.
Here we can see there is evidence of moisture damage and potential mold.
Repairs will be recommended.
