The Best Form of Backyard Fun
Swimming pools are very popular in the warmer parts of the United States because they provide great opportunities for entertainment, fun, and exercise, and are a popular backyard fun spot. Swimming pools are artificial pools of water designed so humans can swim in them. Swimming pools are practical and make sense, and their pros; water quality, aesthetics, ecology, reduced maintenance, and winter use, far outweigh their cons; greater risk of contracting water-borne illness and greater space requirements. The two types of swimming pools are in-ground pools, which are made of concrete, vinyl, or fiberglass and aboveground pools. Concrete, vinyl and fiberglass swimming pools are similar in that they are in-ground pools that require contractors to complete the entire construction and installation project. Swimming pools are engineered systems, with demanding safety and sanitary requirements that result in rather sophisticated design standards and water treatment systems. Being exposed bodies of water thus subjects the pool to possible contamination, requiring routine inspections for a variety of factors, such as water chemistry, disinfectant, pH, and alkalinity. Some other particular problem areas that are inspected include; loose or poorly located diving board, slippery decks or pool bottoms, poorly designed or located water slides, projecting or ungrated pipes and drains that can catch hair or body parts, drain grates of inadequate size, improperly installed or maintained electrical equipment, and improperly vented chlorinators and mishandled chlorine materials. Swimming pools are normally nearly saturated with dissolved gas since the pool surface is constantly in contact with air. Irritants in the air at swimming pools are usually the combined chlorine by-products of disinfection. Disinfectants containing chlorine for use in swimming pools are the chemicals calcium and sodium hypochlorite, which are meant to be diluted or added to water, before they are safe to use. Chlorine is used to kill bacteria and control algae in your pool water so that it is safe for swimming. This is done by using filters and chemical disinfectants such as chlorine, bromine or mineral sanitizers. Bromine or mineral sanitizers are often recommended as sanitizers for spas because chlorine dissipates at a high temperature thereby heightening its strong chemical smell. In the warmer parts of the United States, swimming pools are a popular backyard fun spot because they provide great opportunities for entertainment, and exercise. Hold on to every moment filled with families and fun. Back yard swimming pools are fun, safe and a gracious gathering place, making them the most popular sources of outdoor home entertainment. The biggest market for pools is still in California, but as construction techniques improve, prices dip and banks grow more willing to finance pools as readily as cars, backyard swimming pools are spreading across the rest of the country. On the plus side, swimming pools are part of the overall outdoor fashion trend which has given new emphasis to backyard landscaping.
